PLEASE TELL ME,
WHERE WOULD WE GO
WITHOUT OUR BLESSED EGO?
WITHOUT THE SELF,
POORLY HEALTH?
WITHOUT THAT CRUTCH,
THAT ' GOING DUTCH '
RESIGNED TO MADNESS,
SICK AS SUCH?
SITUATION STEALTHED?
PLEASE TELL ME,
WHERE WOULD WE BE,
WITHOUT THE NEED FOR ME ME?
WITHOUT THE I,
PARALISED?
WITHOUT THAT PRIDE,
LOST INSIDE?
CONSIGNED TO SADNESS?
CONSCIENCE FRIED?
SITUATION DEIFIED?
PLEASE TELL ME,
WHERE WOULD WE GO,
WITHOUT OUR BLESSED EGO??

Maybe it's all a matter of keeping things in proportion, like the devil in us a little devil can be fun and amusing, too big and it becomes monstrous. Same with ego, nice to have some personality, but also nice if we can consider the good of all instead of just our own needs, too much can step on others happiness and contributions. I can't believe we were created with brains and then not expected to use them, we were gifted with brains to help us evolve. I celebrate our individual differences it is those that contribute more to humanity as a whole
